Window inserts are thin layers of transparent plastic, that are inserted into a garage door. These are used to improve the styling of a garage door, as well as add a functional window to help allow light in.
Window inserts are installed on the outside of the window and can be easily removed for cleaning. There are many different window models, available for many garage door types. Some of these models include the rounded, Sherwood design, which evokes a traditional Victorian style. As well as the multi part, Williamsburg design which has an art deco feel to the styling of the frame.
Which ever window design you chose, the glass pane is inserted into a seamless, one-piece (molded in a single casting), polypropylene frame, at the factory. Available in sizes 21″ x 13″ to 40″ x 13, the inserts can be installed into doors of various sizes.
