The type of roof you use to house your garage is going to have a large impact on the space inside. There are many different roofs available, with the main difference being the materials they are created from. It is important to choose a roof material that will suit the garage you want, as each has different advantages.
This post looks at some of the materials available on the market, with an overview of each:
Slate Roofs
One of the most expensive building materials. Slate is usually used on civic buildings, churches and luxury houses. The material is naturally resistant to mould and rust, and on average will last over 100 years.
Metal Roofs
A common garage roof. Slate roofs are great at being highly wind, sun and rain resistant. They offer a lifespan of around 50 years. Some metal roofs like copper and lead are targeted by thieves due to the value of their metal.
